As I've said, I do love texture.  I began experimenting several years ago with a gesso-prepared paper and board because I could create much more texture.  In the process I was able to achieve somewhat abstract forms.  My love of musical instruments, people,  and horses has influenced most of my work.  This technique also lends itself to oil, as can be seen in my Mexican Door Series images on this page.
